During the last 15 years Linda has steadily built her reputation as a tenacious solicitor who achieves the best possible results for her clients and their families. Her primary area of interest has always been family law and her expertise is widely recognised by Sheriffs who regularly appoint her as a Reporter to the Court and as Curator to Children.
She is formally accredited as a mediator, a family law specialist and a child law specialist. Linda's wide range of legal qualifications has enabled her to successfully resolve issues for clients across the whole of the UK whilst her impressive combination of academic and legal qualifications gives her a unique ability to empathise with needs of her clients.
Fiona Carey LLB DipLP NP
Accredited Solicitor and Mediator, Family Law
Fiona has been a solicitor for nearly 25 years. During that time she has focused mainly on family law and has become formally accredited as a mediator and family law specialist. As clients' needs have become more complex, Fiona has responded by steadily developing her expertise in resolving the financial issues people face when business and property interests are intertwined.
Fiona is firmly focused on delivering the highest possible quality for her clients and it's not just us that think that. Recently the Law Society has asked her to review the quality that solicitors throughout Scotland currently provide, whilst Strathclyde University has appointed her as a tutor to postgraduate/final year law students to ensure trainee solicitors maintain those high standards in the future.
Rachel Rodgers LLB DipLP NP SLA
Rachel completed the LLB in 2009 while studying as a mature student, and completed her training in June 2012. Rachel specialises in all aspects of Family Law. Rachel undertakes Civil Court practice and provides advice on aspects of Private Client including residential conveyancing, Wills and Powers of Attorney. Rachel advises on Guardianship and incapcity aspects of civil law and regularly attends court to deal with these matters on behalf of her own clients, and those of other solicitors.
Emma Sadler LLB (Hons) DipLp NP
Emma joined us as a first year Trainee on 16 July 2013. Emma was named as the best performing student on her post-graduate course at the University of Strathclyde and is a great and valued asset to our team. Emma is now a qualified solicitor and gives advice on separation, divorce, contact and residence issues and child law. Emma regularly attends court in respect of all civil matters at Hamilton, Lanark, Airdrie, Glasgow and Livingston courts.
Lisa Gillespie LLB DipLp NP
Solicitor at Lanark
Lisa joined us in 2016 and we are delighted to have her in charge of our Lanark office. Lisa undertakes all aspects of private client work, separation, divorce, financial division of assets, child and family contact matters, Wills and Powers of Attorney. Lisa regularly attends Lanark Sheriff Court on behalf of her own clients, and to deal with cases on behalf of other solicitors. Lisa has recently been attending the Court of Session and has added that to her wealth of experience.
Liz is the Personal Assistant to Linda George. She organises Linda's day and ensure she has everything she needs to focus on her clients. Liz has just about the perfect experience for this role. Her formal secretarial qualifications enabled her to get a job as a secretary immediately after leaving college. She then progressed to working as a Manager in the leisure industry, as a medical receptionist and as an Assistant Registrar for a Local Authority. No wonder she has developed the patience required in her current role.
Lynn Smith Paralegal
Lynn has been a legal secretary for 17 years. During that time she has continuously developed her skills and has qualified both as a Paralegal and as a financial litigator. In addition to providing high quality and rapid support for our team, Lynn manages the demanding task of liaising with the firm's corporate clients and the local courts.
Yvonne has worked in legal offices since 1995 and in that time has worked in just about every key area of the back office. She started as an office junior and then quickly grew into a job in the financial area, before switching back to a more client facing role, first as a legal secretary before being promoted to Partner's Secretary. She is now Fiona's Personal Assistant and provides all the support Fiona needs to ensure she can focus her energy on meeting client's needs.
Michelle is the friendly face of our firm. She is likely to be the first person you speak to when you contact us. She has been a key member of our team for several years now but she has over 20 years legal experience, most of it spent with major law firms in Glasgow.
